What is AdCut?

AdCut is timeline-based video editor designed specifically to scale video ad creation. After you've created your script, UGC avatars, and voiceovers in AdGPT, your content populates into AdCut where you can refine and perfect your ad with simple yet powerful editing tools.

What Can You Do With AdCut?

Storyboard & Library

  • AdCut automatically breaks down your script into smaller chunks while choosing 3 different visual assets for each scene

  • AI identifies its best fit (highlighted in blue), prioritizing your library content first

  • Easily browse all your assets if you prefer different visuals

  • New selections automatically crop to fit while maintaining caption and voiceover synchronization

Captions & Text Overlay

  • AdCut automatically creates captions for every scene based on your AdGPT script

  • Choose from preset styles and animations or upload your own custom designs

  • Generate personalized text overlays to emphasize key messages or complement your visuals

Voiceovers

  • Edit your script in the "freeform editor" to refine your voiceover.

  • Generate new voiceovers with different voice options.

  • Use the splicing editor to regenerate only specific parts of the voiceover you'd like to improve – all without disturbing the rest of your take.

Creators

  • Regenerate your existing creator to deliver different content

  • Select alternative creators from our library to use in your ad

  • Add green screen effects to your creator through the "AI tools" function when selecting a creator's frame

  • Generate floating creators that appear as overlays in your video using the "generate floating creator" button

Music and Sound Effects

  • Choose from our library of copyright-free music

  • Upload your own custom tunes

  • Add pre-made sound effects from our collection, upload your own, or creat custom sound effects with AI

Format Customization

  • Change aspect ratios to suit various social media channels

  • Use magnetic tracks that automatically remove all space between media elements, creating seamless transitions between scenes

Share, Download, or Approve

  • Share your ad via link to gather feedback from team members

  • Export the entire edited ad as a finished product

  • Download raw assets as a zip file containing each individual component

  • Approve your ad to send it directly to Icon's ads manager, which can automatically upload to Meta's ad library

How to Get Started

  1. Create your initial script, avatars, and voiceovers in AdGPT

  2. Open your ad in the AdCut Editor where your content will be pre-populated

  3. Review the AI-selected scenes in the Storyboard view and make any desired changes

  4. Customize your captions and text overlays with your preferred style

  5. Refine your voiceover using the freeform or splicing editor if needed

  6. Add or modify creators with green screen effects or as floating elements

  7. Incorporate music and sound effects to enhance the audio experience

  8. Adjust format settings for your target platforms

  9. Share for feedback, download in your preferred format, or approve for direct deployment
