What is Photoshoot?

Photoshoot is an AI tool that transforms your product photos by placing them into new backgrounds, scenes, and environments—all without touching a camera. Just upload your image, choose or describe a background, and generate fresh visuals for your ads, website, or social media.

Why Use Photoshoot?

  • Save time and money by eliminating the need for constant photoshoots

  • Scale your creative output with multiple variations of each product

  • Test different visual contexts to see what resonates with your audience

  • Create seasonal content without scheduling new product photography

  • Maintain visual consistency across your product line with similar backgrounds

How to Get Started

1. Select Your Product

  • Navigate to the Photoshoot tool in your Icon dashboard

  • Browse your product images in the "Select Product" section

  • Click on the product you want to feature in new environments

  • Review your selection in the "Product Preview" panel

2. Choose Your Background Approach

  • AI Prompts: Write or select a descriptive prompt (e.g., "Product on marble countertop with morning light")

  • Colors: Choose a simple colored background or gradient from the palette for clean, minimal product shots

  • Upload: Import your own background image for complete control over the setting

3. Generate Your Product Photos

  • Review your settings and make any final adjustments

  • Click the "Generate product images" button

  • Wait approximately 1-2 minutes as our AI creates your new product visuals

4. Review and Manage Your Images

  • Browse through the generated images in the "Product Photos" section

  • Hover over each image to access quick actions:

    • Download: Save individual images to your device

    • Delete: Remove unwanted variations

    • Edit: Open the image in our built-in editor for further customization

5. Fine-tune Your Images (Optional)

  • Click "Start editing" on your chosen image

  • Add text overlays, graphics, or adjust image properties

  • Save your edited version for immediate use in your marketing

Pro Tips

  • Be specific with prompts: "Coffee mug on rustic wooden table with morning sunlight" works better than just "coffee mug on table"

  • Try different angles: Generate multiple variations to find the perfect product placement

  • Combine with other Icon tools: Use your Photoshoot images in Kanva or AdGPT for complete ad creation

  • Create seasonal collections: Quickly generate holiday or seasonal versions of your product imagery

Best Practices

  • Start with high-quality, well-lit product photos (no need for transparent backgrounds—Icon will automatically remove existing backgrounds for you)

  • Ensure your product images are properly cropped with the product centered

  • Experiment with both simple and complex backgrounds to find what works best

  • Save your favorite prompts for consistent styling across multiple products
